For the middle part:
It looks like for skin you only filled in a base color, and then went in with a little blush and some shadows on the nose and bridge, almost like cell-shading. You really need to go in there with a brush and fill the whole thing in with many brush strokes. Lower the opacity a lot to blend in the colors. For the eyes, remember to add a waterline, the tear-duct should be a little separate from the general shape of the eye, and you make them a little too big and anime-ish. Eyes in real life are shaped like seeds. As for the chin, just make a little flat tip, and then go back up for the jaw. I don't know what program you're using but to make the shine on the hair I used the dodge tool in photoshop, very lightly. 

For hair, as demonstrated, start with a dark base, and then go in very lightly with a slightly lighter color and a smaller brush. Then go in with an even lighter color, and smaller brush, and draw random strands, don't cover the whole thing. Leave some dark gabs. And finally go in with the lightest color and a very small brush. Do not use straight-up yellow for blonde hair, use more of a yellowy cream color.
